The concept of going somewhere else after death sounds silly to me.
Death is the end of everything as far as I’m concerned. I go nowhere else.
Why does life have to finish for ever?
I want to do so many things. I’d need many years to fulfil all of my dreams. One day we’ll be able to go to
sleep for a few centuries at a time. Then we come back to life and enjoy the universe again.
We should have periods of rest in a tank, where life itself stops as we hibernate. We sleep for a hundred years and then
start all over again with a fresher body and mind.
This kind of thing can go on for ever. I want to die when I’m tired of life and not when nature says so.

WHY DO WE HAVE TO DIE?
Life eternal
With promises of heaven
Doesn’t fulfil me
I’d like to climb Mount Everest
Visit the Chinese wall
And go to Peru
I dream of taking the space Shuttle
And seeing earth from space
As well as landing on the moon
So many things I want to do
But don’t have time
Why couldn’t we live longer?
Polar bears hibernate
And some other animals do
In this world
.
I wish we could suspend time
Or lengthen life
Until we attain immortality
I have a Trans humanist wish
Of living for hundreds of years
To see humanity changing
Why do we have to die?
We must stop this abomination
Affecting all of our generations

WHAT I THINK OF CRYONICS
Cryonics takes you
To an age
Free from death
Where the sun shines
In a world
Of great
Expectations
In the future
Of our dreams
As everything
Comes true
Forever

I’LL REMEMBER YOU ALL
As I step out of the cryo-casket
I’ll look at my surroundings
With the curiosity of the newborn
Everyone I’ve known will be gone
Friends and family will lie under the ground
In some unknown cemetery
I’ll be in a world full of wonders
Where laws might be different
And customs strange
I’ll remember Mindsay
With all its members
Full of wit, humour, sarcasm
Qualities we now take for granted
Will be seen with distrust
In that future world
The internet might be part of the past
Replaced by a holographic, virtual reality world
Where anything happens
What is normal now
Might be illogical in that world
And the unusual will rule
I’ll remember you all
When I step out
Of that cryo casket
Into a science fiction future
Full of marvels
And unending surprises

THROUGH IMMORTAL LIPS
I imagine myself
In the heart of a new age
Where you and me
Will remember old ways
And previous times
Gone in the course of
The centuries
Because through immortal lips
I’ll greet the future
When it comes
As time runs
And flies
Towards the unknown
We’ll meet after revival
To toast our hopes

TALKING CRYONICS
Cryonics is thought to be science fiction by some people. Imagine yourself five hundred years from now, in a very different
world. Cars will fly in cities where the streets have been turned into immense parks. Money might have finished and no one
in the world will die at all.
You will live for as long as you want to, and when you’re tired of life, you will be placed in a cold tank.
We all have to die at the moment. No one is safe from death. Whether you’re young or old, poor or rich, black or white,
intelligent or dumb, you have to die.
I don’t want to be placed in a coffin where I’ll decompose or to be burned to cinders. Cryonics might take me
to that future where death has been vanquished. If I don’t wake up at all and cryonics fails, I’ll stay dead.
Just like the rest of you.

BICENTENNIAL MAN
Cryo231 has woken up
From his long sleep
Someone put him
In a cryonics tank
Many centuries ago
In a galaxy full of hot suns
He has been cruising around the stars
In a rocket built to last
With the durability
Of the quantum world
He is accompanied
By his frozen crew
Stored in other tanks
Full of cryogenic liquid
Cryo 231 doesn’t know
How old he is
Or what he’s supposed to do
Light years away from home
With a body cloned
Out of a few cells
And a two hundred year old brain

CRYOGUY AND HIS MORTAL QUEST
Cryoguy wakes up in
In the distant future
Full of horror
He tries to understand
What has happened
To his world
Why it has turned
Upside down
While the date has gone tipsy
People are new
And talking funny
Full of witty ideas
Never imagined in his poor
Aged and whimsy brain
Caught by error
In a time full of eddies
And echoes of a distant past
He was put by mistake
In a freezer
At the time of his death
By an immortalist
He has to live forever
With this fringe group
He always hated

MY CHOICE
I want my body in ice
Where it’ll survive harshness
In a bed of cold liquid
It will last
Up to the end of time
Enshrouded in freshness
Far from cremation
And the tomb
There is no heaven
Hell stays a legend
The future for me
Lies in the frost
While others decompose
Becoming bones
Turning into dust
Back to the earth
Time will tell
Whether I’ll survive
Cocooned in ice
Marooned in age

My father died ten years ago. As a cryonicist, I have lost him twice, first to death itself and then to the tomb.
IN MEMORY OF DAD
I have memories of you
Happy events of my childhood
Shrouded in fog
Dimmed by the years
As I remember you
I dissolve in tears
A proud man
Has been reduced to dust
What lies under the mud
It’s not my dad
He’s gone forever
And only lives in my mind

MY WORSE FEARS
Falling into oblivion
For letting death erase me
Like a flower
Deprived of life
Dying for ever
For whatever reason
Or not wanting
To live again
Feeding hungry worms
With my remains
Or sending them
To the four winds
By recycling my own body
Into many particles
Of the atomic table
After cremation
Accepting the end of life
Disguised as afterlife
Whilst hiding my own fears
Of apocalypse

THE ICE KING
He moves amongst the cheering crowd
Towards a hilltop
With a crown of pain on his head
And stands tall and proud
In the spring sun
As he drags his tank
They lay him down on the ground
Legs together
Arms to the side
He has to obey his father
And do as he commands
To redeem man
They inject his wrists
To make him go to sleep
In a painless fashion
Because he loves his father
He must follow his orders
And die for now
Here lies the eternal king
Who froze to save the mortal man
It’s written by his tank
Forgive me father, he says
I give my soul to infinity
And my body to cryonics

cryonics- live forever- cryonics- live forever
