The future will tell

What happened to the empire

Of man amongst the stars


Scattered within the ages

From genesis to Armageddon

I wish to go back


Along the trail of time

To a period of harmony and calm

As the stars shone in the sky


And the moon regaled us all

With its silver light

When poets wrote their sonnets


Wrapped in adolescent love

Of men and women

Courting each other


As the suns went on their journey

Of billions of years

Flowing in harmony


Along the paths of peace

Without any wars

And suffering
